N°07 · QUESTIONS

Asked & answered.

Is Grocerly free?
Yes. The full app is free for households of up to six. There's an optional Pantry Plus tier ($3.99/mo) that adds long-term pantry tracking, custom dietary tags, and unlimited recipe imports per day. You'll never see an ad.
Do I have to count calories?
No. Macro and calorie data is shown faintly by default and can be hidden entirely from Settings → Display. Grocerly is for cooking; the numbers are optional.
What sites can I import recipes from?
Just about any of them. Grocerly reads structured recipe data when it's present (most cooking blogs, NYT, BBC Good Food, Serious Eats, etc.) and falls back to a careful parser otherwise. Instagram and TikTok captions also work.
How is meal planning different from a to-do app?
It's built around how home cooks actually plan: themes (Pasta Tuesdays), leftover loops, and the small art of cooking once and eating twice. Drag a recipe onto a day; the shopping list updates itself.
Does my family see what I'm searching for?
Search is private by default. Only saved recipes, the weekly plan, and the shopping list are shared. You can also keep recipes in a private shelf if you'd rather not share everything.
What happens if I cancel?
Your library, plan, and lists stay in the app on the free tier indefinitely. You can also export the whole archive as a tidy PDF cookbook at any time, with or without a subscription.
